Evolution II

Koi made from student scraps

Students used their Evolution paintings (Evolution I post) to cut and paste an animal collage. This next part does not meet specific science standards but it is important to connect the ‘evolution of pigments’ to the natural world. And it was just too much fun to pass up.

After showing examples of animal drawings on the internet like dragoart.com, student could use half their painting for their animal and borrow scraps from classmates to complete their design. Mythological, imaginary, or kindergarten animals were allowed. Markers were not allowed.
